about

Brazilian Space Program's second studio recording.

Essentially Normal represents our continued exploration into structured groove compositions that feature free, improvised sections. It is a balancing act, each song performed live in studio with all the emotion and risk swirling around the room.

Our instruments were tuned to A=432 to experiment with resonant frequencies, including the guitar, each drum and all 105 tines of the rhodes and bass rhodes.
